About Samantha

I WANT TO HELP YOU MEET YOUR FEEDING GOALS!

The photo on the left was taken as I was graduating with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Breastfeeding my baby was such a huge part of my life throughout school, and one of the reasons I became a nurse. It has been my passion to assist breastfeeding/chestfeeding families towards their goals. I have been helping breastfeeding families for over 2 years. I became a CLC in December of 2021, and passed my IBCLC exam in September 2022. I reside in Parker County but am willing to discuss traveling to neighboring areas*.

I am a wife and mother of 4 breastfed children. We had our first baby, Alexander, in 2013. I have 4 years of experience as a full time nurse in a variety of medical specialties including labor & delivery, mother/baby, NICU feeder growers, and lactation.

I pride myself on continuing education, and I've completed Marie Biancuzzo's 95- hour Lactation Education Course. I also became a Certified Lactation Counselor by the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice in 2021. I sat for my International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) exam in September of 2022, and got my results in December that I passed!

We found Samantha through the lactation network, and are so grateful to have worked with her. Samantha came to us at a difficult time- my baby had a poor latch, he was very angry with breast feeding because he was bottle fed in the NICU, and we both were recovering from a traumatic birth. Within the first visit, Samantha recognized that our baby had a lip and tongue tie. No pediatrician recognized that, and if it weren’t for Samantha catching that, we wouldn’t have been able to breast feed. Within a few sessions, Samantha had us breast feeding. In a time where post-partum emotions were already active, Samantha made breast feeding happen for us. My baby is also now much less angry with friends! Samantha is so sweet and professional, and so amazing at what she does. She truly changed our lives! We will definitely be using her for our next baby.

Samantha was my lactation consultant when we were in the hospital, I had already scheduled an appointment with her prior to giving birth and was pleased to find she was the same in-home consultant and remembered our discussions from the hospital when she arrived at the home. I had a lot of struggle with my supply coming in and it taking longer than average. We are still working on that, and I feel that even if my body does not produce an adequate supply, it would not be because I didn’t help that with as many resources as possible. That we are looking at all options. She responds quickly when I have concerns or thoughts, encouraging without getting overly emotional, which helps to keep me calm. She is truly passionate about what she does and I feel everyone should set up in lactation consulting prior to birth if they have any desire to breast-feed. It is truly helped.

Working with Samantha has truly been a great experience. She has such a laid back personality, and is always super encouraging. Breastfeeding is something that was really difficult for me and my baby. Me and my partner agreed we needed professional help, and I'm so glad Samantha was there for us.
She answered all my questions with not only an explanation as to what was happening, but how to fix it. She is quick to respond to messages, and has great availability to fit our schedule. Working with her has really been a great experience, and I highly recommend her if you're looking for a consultant.

Samantha is a lifesaver! I’m a new mom struggling to breastfeed without pain, and after one session, I already noticed a huge improvement. She’s kind, encouraging, informative, and considerate. I felt heard, seen, understood, and left with a new awareness and understanding of my breastfeeding body. I highly recommend Samantha to anyone breastfeeding!
