Consultation FAQs
When is payment due?
Payment is due at the time of booking. Once your appointment is confirmed, you'll receive an invoice with payment instructions.
What payment types are accepted?
Payments can be made securely through Square. Cash is also accepted for in-home consultations.
Do you accept insurance?
Insurance-covered lactation visits may be available depending on your plan. I partner with third-party companies that may allow eligible families to receive lactation care with little to no out-of-pocket cost.
To find out whether your plan may qualify, please complete the contact form and I’ll help determine your available coverage options.
Do you provide consults to counties outside Parker County?
Yes. In-home consultations are available throughout Parker County and surrounding areas, including Tarrant, Hood, Wise, Johnson, Ellis, Erath, Jack, and Palo Pinto counties. I generally travel up to approximately one hour from Peaster. A $75 travel fee may apply for locations outside my standard service area.
How long is a consultation?
Consultation length varies based on your individual needs and the complexity of your feeding concerns. Some visits may take as little as 30 minutes, while more complex situations may require additional time. I allow the time needed to thoroughly assess your concerns, answer your questions, and develop an individualized care plan for you and your baby.
What happens after I book?
Once your appointment is confirmed, you'll receive information about your visit along with any forms that need to be completed beforehand. Completing these forms in advance helps me learn more about you, your baby, and your feeding goals so we can make the most of our time together.
What should I have ready for my consultation?
For an in-home or virtual consultation, there’s no need to make everything perfect beforehand. If possible, have your usual feeding supplies nearby, such as bottles, pumps, nipple shields, or other items you regularly use. Most importantly, come as you are—we’ll work with your normal feeding routine and environment.

Samantha was absolutely amazing. Not only was she very knowledgeable and had wonderful bedside manner, she was prompt in her responses and was even willing to see me on a Friday afternoon to make sure I was taken care of as soon as possible. I would recommend her to anyone needing breastfeeding support and am so thankful to have found her!

Samantha was so sweet, encouraging and informative. I have a 7 week old who is struggling with taking in a lot of air while nursing. She showed me difference positions and encouraged me on the things I was doing right as well as giving me advice to improve our breastfeeding journey. The appointment was easy and I felt very comfortable and supported with Samantha. I would highly recommend her to anyone struggling in their breastfeeding journey!

I just delivered my second baby and this time around we have had allllll the issues with latching! With my first we exclusively breast fed and the plan was to do the same with the second. By the time I met with Samantha I had pretty much given up hope that we’d be able to breast feed and had decided we’d pump and bottle feed. After spending about an hour with her, she was able to teach me a few tricks I didn’t know about yet, including some facial massage techniques to help loosen her up. 4 days later and we are not yet perfect but I can easily get her to latch compared to no latch at all before! Samantha gave me the confidence and reassurance I needed to not give up hope. Grateful for her, along with the knowledge and energy she brought into our home when I was ready to give up. Highly recommend her!
