Peairson Lactation LLC: Why I Became an IBCLC!

Hi! I'm Samantha. Welcome to my new blog! I have been married for 10 years and have 4 babies! 9, 7, 5, and 3. I am a registered nurse and IBCLC. My husband is a stay-at-home dad, and he does an amazing job! I opened Peairson Lactation LLC to help parents reach their goals. I want to provide individualized care to each family unit, and be a support person for those who need it!

Preparing for my First Baby

I had my first baby when I was 20 years old. I didn't know much about breastfeeding. All I knew was that I wanted to breastfeed my baby, and give him a good head start. I read many books. I did internet searches. I watched videos. I even attended parenting classes to learn all that I could! I feel like being prepared for breastfeeding and the challenges that may arise help with successful breastfeeding. After I had my first baby, I had many friends and family members that asked me for tips, tricks, and assistance. This is when my passion began!

Advocating for Lactating Parents

I began college when my second baby was 3 months old to get a start on my journey to becoming an IBCLC. I breastfed and pumped while in school, and I helped my friends with their breastfeeding journeys. During nursing school, I helped bring awareness to rooms made for pumping at the Weatherford College Main Campus. I became an advocate for breastfeeding parents who were going to school.

I had my third baby during nursing school, and advocated for myself to be allowed to pump during school and clinicals. It is my goal to ensure all parents have the access and knowledge they need to succeed! I graduated nursing school in 2018.

Breastfeeding, Pumping, Working, and School

I had my fourth baby during my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree. I was working two jobs, going to school, and had a new baby! I was still pumping, and I successfully breastfed her until she was two and a half years old! I was still breastfeeding her while working two jobs, and working on my Master's of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management degree! What a crazy ride!

Thank you for Reading!

It is my goal to provide support to all families and assist them with their feeding goals. If my husband didn't support me 100% during my breastfeeding journey, I'm not sure I would have succeeded. He pushed me, supported me, encouraged me, and just listened. I can do that for you.

Let's meet your feeding goals! Book now for breastfeeding/chestfeeding assistance!
